Interview for Founder of HYT GROUP During 2024 EICMA
Q1: What is HYT? HYT is a comprehensive two-wheel vehicle brand expansion team with over twenty years of experience in supporting Chinese two-wheeler exports. HYT has been both a witness to and participant in the entry of Chinese gasoline and electric motorcycles into overseas markets. HYT has been deeply involved in the global expansion journey of various brands and products, establishing strong channel relationships worldwide and accumulating resources in sales channels, after-sales service, brand marketing, and more for full-scale integration and local services abroad. Since 2005, the key members of HYT have taken the lead and been deeply involved in the international expansion of well-known Chinese two-wheeler brands. In 2024, HYT began a strategic partnership with LETBE, a high-end brand under the Haojin Group, supporting its debut in the European market. We have established companies with different functional roles in China, Italy, France, Spain, and Belgium, empowering industry development and our partners. Q2: What do the HYT name and logo signify? HYT stands for "Hit Your Trip." The logo, designed by Italian designer Max Mazzeo, was inspired by a chance moment. During a MOTOGP race, a brand represented by HYT and a partnered racing team showcased a breathtaking scene on a sharp curve: two bikes leaned in tandem, seemingly advancing side by side yet poised to overtake each other in an instant, capturing a delicate balance of speed and harmony. This design reflects HYT's core philosophy when facing future challenges and opportunities—focusing on shared goals, precise insight and balance, and uniting strength and resources. Q3: Who is the founder of HYT? It's me. I am Ann. I have worked in the two-wheeler industry for over 25 years, witnessing its evolution and actively participating in the global expansion of renowned Chinese two-wheeler brands. Through my market insights and extensive practical experience, I aim to identify and promote exceptional Chinese two-wheeler brands to more overseas partners, advancing China’s progress in branding, product development, and channel expansion. Additionally, I aspire to unite and lead an international, professional team to further optimize online and offline platforms for two-wheeler sales in Europe, establishing a solid, adaptable, and sustainable service capability to empower our partners in the global electric vehicle industry. Q4: Why was HYT founded? HYT was established with the goal of helping Chinese brands succeed internationally and building mutually beneficial business relationships with overseas markets. Traditionally, brand expansion primarily focused on directly exporting Chinese products abroad. However, HYT aims not only to comprehensively support the internationalization of Chinese brands but also to foster the growth of overseas partners' businesses, exploring and establishing more stable, competitive, and sustainable business relationships. Over the past 40 years, China’s economy has seen rapid development, and its manufacturing sector has transformed from OEM to independent research, design, and innovation. Today, many high-quality Chinese brands have emerged, known for their strong technical capabilities, originality, and technological content. In the current wave of globalization, HYT sees this historical opportunity to support Chinese brands in shining on the global stage, while also bringing new growth opportunities to its overseas partners. Q5: How is HYT's European team structured? HYT Italy serves as the European sales and service center, with additional branches in Spain and France and an R&D facility in Belgium. The establishment of HYT Italy owes much to the efforts of the Italian company’s CEO, Alessandro, who has over 20 years of experience and extensive resources in Europe’s two-wheeler industry. Italy has a rich and longstanding motorcycle racing culture, and HYT Italy has built close partnerships with racetracks, top racing teams, and racing technology suppliers, accumulating strong media and public relations resources to support partners in expanding within the European market. HYT Italy maintains a long-term collaboration with MotoGP and sponsors the SIC58 team, aiming to help Chinese two-wheeler brands gain a deeper understanding of European motorcycle culture and expand their influence through this globally recognized event platform. Q6: Besides HYT Italy, what are the other HYT branches in Europe like? HYT Spain is a passionate, professional team led by founder Edu, who is himself a racer. His deep love for motorcycles and professional insight form the core strength of the Spanish team. In addition to Spain, they have substantial industry resources in Portugal, Andorra, and Argentina. They provide a one-stop solution covering warehousing, logistics, assembly, and inspection, utilizing an integrated online and offline channel model with innovative, diverse marketing strategies. HYT France is a skilled European marketing team fluent in English, French, German, and Chinese. Focusing on brand strategy and communication, digital marketing, event planning, and visual creativity, HYT France holds connections with numerous mainstream European media outlets and marketing resources in industries such as fashion, art, and consumer electronics. This enables them to provide tailored solutions for premium two-wheeler brands and ensure high-quality implementation. Additionally, HYT has a branch in Belgium dedicated to new material research, in collaboration with the prestigious KU Leuven and innovative enterprise Rein4ced. Through these efforts, HYT aims to facilitate the application of new materials and technologies in the two-wheeler industry, promoting product innovation and industry advancement. Q7: Where is HYT China located, and what are its functions? HYT China is headquartered in Xishan District, Wuxi. Xishan District is known as the "Hometown of Two-Wheeled Electric Vehicles" and has developed a robust industry chain, with key enterprises like Yadea, Sunra, and Tailg based there. These leading companies account for over 65% of China's electric vehicle sales, with a production output of 14 million electric vehicles in 2023. In 2023, HYT China established a partnership with the Wuxi Electric Vehicle Export Association, supporting them in building overseas development resources. As the core of the team, HYT China provides highly customized, cost-effective, professional, and high-quality services for two-wheeler exports. Our services include factory and product inspections, overseas marketing, testing, logistics, warehousing, and after-sales support. Our goal is to assist Chinese two-wheeler manufacturers in producing products that comply with local regulations and market needs, enabling them to successfully expand into international markets. END
